Buy and sell on the farm in Zimbabwe
Livestock, poultry, crops, grain, equipment, and farms and plots — each listing labelled with how far it has been checked, so you know what has been seen and what has not.
This page lists everything offered on Zimbabwe Farming — for sale, to let, or wanted. Listing is free, there is no commission, and buyers contact sellers directly.
What the check labels mean
Every listing carries one of three labels, and each says exactly what has been done — no more:
- Seen and checked — someone working with us has seen the animals, crop, machine or land, and the ownership papers match the seller.
- Papers seen — the seller has shown ownership papers (stock cards, registration book, title document), but nobody from us has seen the item itself.
- Not yet checked — listed as the seller describes it. This is not a judgement; it means nobody has looked yet.
Weights, yields and grades are always the seller's claim. See for yourself before you pay.
Posting a listing
Fill in the form below and your listing appears straight away, with up to four photos, marked Not yet checked. It stays up for 60 days. To have the label upgraded, send us photos of your papers quoting your reference. When it sells, use the removal link you are given after posting.
Buyers: protect yourself. Never pay a deposit to someone you have not met, for animals or goods you have not seen. If a listing looks wrong, use "Report this listing" under it.
Have cattle, grain, equipment or land to sell? Listing is free, there is no commission, and buyers contact you directly. It takes about five minutes.
List for sale →The marketplace
Each listing carries a label saying how far it has been checked. That is not a warranty — see the animals, crop, machine or land yourself, and confirm ownership and permits before any money moves.
The marketplace is open for listings
Nothing is listed yet. Be the first: post livestock, grain, produce, equipment or land below and it appears here straight away.
List for sale →A marketplace, not a noticeboard
Cattle, grain, machinery and land in Zimbabwe change hands mostly through WhatsApp groups and word of mouth — which is how buyers end up paying for animals without movement permits, grain that fails on moisture, a tractor with no registration book, or a farm the seller cannot legally transfer. Here every listing carries a label saying how far it has been checked, so buyers know what has been seen and what has not.
Listings are taken in six categories:
- LivestockCattle, goats and sheep — breeding stock, weaners and slaughter animals.
- PoultryLayers, broilers, point-of-lay pullets, day-old chicks, indigenous birds and eggs.
- Crops & produceVegetables, fruit, soya, groundnuts, sugar beans, potatoes and other farm produce.
- GrainsMaize, wheat, sorghum and millets, sold by the tonne.
- EquipmentTractors, implements, irrigation, pumps, trucks and farm buildings.
- Farms & plotsFarms, smallholdings and plots for sale or lease, with the type of title stated.
