What we collect

When you list something

The listing form asks what you are selling, its category, breed, crop or make, quantity, location, grade or condition, asking price, the papers you hold, a contact email or phone number, and any notes. When you post, the listing is stored in our listings database (hosted by Supabase) and shown publicly in the marketplace — including the contact number or email you give, so buyers can reach you, and any photos you add. A copy also goes to our listings mailbox through our website host, Netlify. The contact form goes only to our mailbox.

When you email us

We receive your email address, name and whatever you write.

Watchlist and saved searches

If you star listings or save a search, that list is stored only in your own browser (local storage). It is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Visiting the site

• Hosting. Netlify serves the site and processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
• Fonts. Typefaces are served from our own website, so no font provider receives your IP address.
• Analytics. If switched on, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

What becomes public

A posted listing shows its description, location, category, quantity, grade, asking price, photos and the contact details you gave. It is taken down automatically after 60 days, or sooner if you use your removal link or ask us.

Who else sees it

Our website host and email provider store information on our behalf. We do not sell personal information. We share it with a buyer or seller only as part of an enquiry you have asked us to take forward, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it, and your rights

We keep submissions while a listing is being assessed or is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time: email us. We handle personal information in line with applicable data-protection law, including Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act.
